This black and birch combination LW Trestle Table is a striking piece of contemporary furniture; designed and fabricated to consciously reflect the discerning buyer who always looks for peerless invention and craftsmanship. In addition, the LW has been purposely conceived to play an invaluable role in the contemporary domestic setting, where the dimensions of work, study and home life are now less defined.
The LW's intelligent design came about through the search for a quality work surface that could be easily transported and still maintain its strength and good looks. By steady process, the LW was born, and we present it to you now, with three table length options to widen its undeniable versatility yet further.
The very nature of a trestle table means it has mobility as its heart whilst remaining an item of endurance and reliability. The LW meets all these requirements head on whilst losing none of its sophistication and grace.
The LW's legs feature an unrivalled mechanism designed and developed by S.A.M.M.'s lead designer that allows each upright to fold away to no more than 120mm, minimising their volume remarkably for transportation and storage. When in use, these folding legs loose none of their considerable strength and can each easily accept 100kg of weight.
This LW model is available in an optional combination of Black Valchromat and Blonde top-grade birch plywood. The table top and the legs can be made from either material. Please see the photographs on the listing for a complete visual.
Valchromat is a tough, water resistant, non-toxic, manmade board; fabricated from wood fibres and deep dyed throughout. The wood is a high-grade birch plywood. All our timber and timber derivative products are fully FSC certified.
The table has been lacquered with a durable and resilient matte finish, providing a high level of protection against knocks and spills. The finished tabletop resists water and food staining. It can be wiped down, easily maintained and over time, will polish to a soft lustre.
All the fixings provided to assemble the LW trestle table are quality stainless steel components for longevity and strength.
